Goddy Uwa. Osimen is an accomplished academic with a wealth of experience and expertise.He is a certified and independent peace and security consultant. His area of specialties includes; Peace and Security Studies, War and Strategic Studies, Gender Mainstream, and International Politics. He is a trained Mediator and Conflict Analyst of repute. He is a member of various professional bodies like; Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Institute of Chartered Arbitration and Mediation (ICAM), Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management (IGPCM), Amnesty International, Movendi Peace Advocacy International (Sweden), Global Peace Institute (GPI) UK, International Peace Bureau (IPB), Berlin (Germany), Global Peace Foundation (GPF), Washington DC- USA, European Centre for Research Training and Development, UK, International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS) Japan, among others. He holds a PhD Degree in Strategic Studies and Master’s Degree in Political Science from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma respectively. He also holds a Diploma Certificate in International Studies and Diplomacy and a second Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He equally holds a third Master’s Degree in International Relations from IICSE University, USA with additional Diploma Certificate in Religion, Conflict & Peace from the prestigious Harvard University, USA. Besides, he has taught in various institutions of higher learning at different times, including Wesley University, Ondo, Saint Monica University, Cameroon, Achievers University, Owo, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), among others. His impressive body of research work includes over 90 published articles in reputable journals both home and abroad. He has also authored over 10 scholarly books, including ‘Early Warning Sign to Early Action in Conflict Management; Managing Security in an Unsecured Environment; Contemporary Issues in Security Management; Principles of Conflict Management, Theoretical Foundations of Conflict Management, among others. He has obtained support, sponsorships scholarships, fellowships and grants from diverse range of institutions and organisations, including but not limited to the Covenant University Center for Research, Innovation and Discovery (CUCRID). He is the Founder and the Director of Third Party Initiative Resolution (TPIR) and currently a Senior Lecturer and a Research Fellow in the Department of Political Science and International Relations in Covenant University, Ota- Nigeria.
